Sakan is a local nonprofit organization in Minnesota that works to help secure homes for families struggling to put together a down payment, Sakan is an arabic word that means tranquility, which is a place families want to ascribe to their home.
In the process of the logo design, and conceptualization, I sketched out a few ideas while meeting with client, and the idea was gold.
What I landed on was to illustrate a house as the logo, but include hidden text in it. Which is to spell out the word "Sakan" in Arabic using the shapes and elements around the house. If you look closely at the logo you will see the hardlines of the house and the ground spell out the word Sakan in Arabic.
